This
is not a commercial site. I keep alpacas as a hobby.
Above
everything else
they must be healthy and look nice.
Thus
breeding and the selling of animals certainly is not my
priority.
Even
though I believe the story about the value of alpaca wool to be
true and crimp, staple and structure absolutely must play a role
in making choices about breeding, they do not come first for me.
As long as alpaca wool is nearly only appreciated by hobby
spinners I won't behave like a "micronmaniac",
In the rare case we do have the occasional animal for sale or to
swap, you can find it on
"one
too many".
Next to
the pictures en stuff about my own animals I tried to collect
some information and fun facts about alpacas, which in my
experience are useful.
Along
with alpaca specialists, that seem to pop up like mushrooms,
there comes a lot of contradictory information.
However,
since there is a lot to be found online about these fun animals,
and I don't intend to re-invent the wheel, I copied some pieces
and translated some pieces. As far as possible I mentioned the
origin of each article. Should anyone object, please let me
know.
